Read on to find out more about how our eyebrow fibers work and whether or not this is the eyebrow thickener that will work for you.
Are Eyebrow Fibers Similar to Eyebrow Powder?
Eyebrow fibers are real fibers of hair that, when applied on top of the beeswax base, adhere in between the natural brow hairs for a seamless finish. The eyebrow fibers are finely blended to ensure a natural look. They’re made with keratin fibers and zinc oxide – all natural ingredients that won’t cause irritation to the eyes. Though ground up very finely and resembling a thicker, loose powder, eyebrow fibers are not to be confused with eyebrow powder, which is makeup. The main difference between our all-natural eyebrow fibers and eyebrow powder is the finished product.
When you’re looking at eyebrow powders, you’re basically looking at a product that is similar to eyeshadow in both its texture and its composition. The finish of the product does not resemble the texture of your natural hairs so depending on how much you want to thicken or add volume, powder may not be the best option for you. If you just want to slightly darken your brows, this option is fine. But if you want to thicken your brows or fill in bald spots on the brow line, eyebrow fibers will definitely give you a much more natural look. Makeup can look artificial on the brows and if the colour is not exactly right, can be very obvious. The eyebrow fibers however, look like real hair and when blended between the natural brow hairs, provide a seamless, natural result. It is so close to the natural brow that no one will notice you have even added any product to your brows at all. (They’ll just think you have naturally gorgeous brows!)
Eyebrow Fibers Vs Eyebrow Makeup
There are several types of eyebrow makeup options, including powders, crayons, and gels. How do our eyebrow fibers compare to each? We’ve already discussed eyebrow powder so let’s move into eyebrow crayons. This is probably one of the most obvious options you can use. When you thicken your brows with a pencil, it is very apparent if you have lots to fill in. This is because the finish is not the same as the finish of a natural hair. Even if the colour is perfectly matched, the varying textures side-by-side can be visible, especially if you need to add significant thickness or fullness to your eyebrows. Eyebrow pencils are best left for filling very little imperfections in the brow line.
Eyebrow gels can also be tricky, depending on how much of your brow line you need to fill in. These can be great products if you need to straighten out your brow hairs or fill in minor gaps and smooth edges. Eyebrow gels are not meant to thicken or fill in sparse brow line. This type of product is usually intended to patch up little flaws here and there. If you want more significant eyebrow definition, thickness, and volume, all-natural eyebrow fibers may be the option for you.
Fibers Make the Perfect Eyebrow Fillers
Eyebrow fibers are ideal for filling in gaps and creating a smooth, complete brow. Each of our eyebrow fiber kits comes with two products: a pot of the beeswax base and a pot of eyebrow fibers. The beeswax allows the fibers to stick to the skin and in between the hairs much better. As an eyebrow filler, the fibers work perfectly. Just spread the beeswax over the areas you want to fill in, then pat the eyebrow fibers on top. They will stick immediately, no fallout, no mess, and will stay in place for 16 hours. They’re sweat- and water-resistant so you don’t have to worry about your brow game failing on you throughout the day.
Advantages Over Semi Permanent Eyebrows
You’ve no doubt heard of semi permanent eyebrow procedures like microblading. This can be an option for some people but it isn’t suitable for everyone. Here are a few things you need to know about semi permanent eyebrows versus eyebrow thickening fibers before you commit to anything.
- Microblading will fade: Because this procedure is only semi-permanent, the colouring will fade and change over time. You’ll need to maintain your brows every few months in order to keep your brows looking full and dark.
- Once you start, you can’t stop: Once you have begun microblading, you may be stuck with it. Although the effects fade, they do not completely disappear, so unless you want to live with the faded look, you will have to maintain the colour. Styles change and the ultra thick brows you’ve invested in today may be a thing of the past tomorrow. A semi permanent option is a huge commitment. If you have particularly thinned out brows, this could be what you want, but if you’re just looking to keep up with the latest trend, a removable option might be better for you.
- Semi permanent eyebrows are not cheap: Any procedure that guarantees extended results is on the higher end of the scale. (Our eyebrow fibers are just $24.95 USD/$29.95 CAD and good for about 90 uses – just sayin’!)
